In the interests of an efficient and sustainable industry, SAEPA maintains specialist committees in the following areas :

Postal
We represent the interests of the public and service providers by consulting with those responsible for drafting legislation and regulations.

Security
Our committee co-operates with all the bodies in the cargo security chain to identify, encourage and enforce best practice and procedures in the critical area of cargo security.

Customs
We enjoy a mutually-beneficial working relationship with the Department of Customs resulting in effective procedures that expedite the movement of consignments while complying with strict Customs requirements.

Training and Development
Our belief is that properly-trained and educated people are essential to the efficient working of this vital industry. We have engaged in numerous skills development initiatives including devising and registering learnerships specific to our industry, thus creating career opportunities for young South Africans.
